The Air Is On Fire

Talk about sounds being able to take you back into deep memories... I just bought David Lynch's The Air Is On Fire (Exhibition Soundscape) from iTunes. I tried to buy it at the Cartier Foundation in Paris, during the show of David Lynch's work (The Air Is On Fire) while I was there on vacation last summer, but they had just sold the last CD! I even e-mailed them, but to no avail. Then I "randomly" did a search last night on iTunes and there it is. So strange. The sounds on this CD are making me feel like I'm back in Paris, back in those galleries after wondering the streets looking for the Foundation, after spending hours underground in the catacombs.

Craziness!

Last night I was watching part of David Lynch's INLAND EMPIRE and got my iPhone out and shot a few promotional shots. For these to be fair-use I think I have to describe them. Below are three images from a particularly creepy scene in INLAND EMPIRE where Laura Dern's Polish husband was sneaking around while she messed around with a costar, blue lit, under the sheets...

Only An Expert...

Wow, I found this video on my lunch break. It's Laurie Anderson performing a new song live, from her upcoming album Homeland. The song is "Only An Expert" and I'll be seeing Laurie perform this song and others next Friday, April 4th, in Akron, Ohio. I'm really excited.

Le Weekend

This weekend seems to have gone by pretty quickly. I was at Dan & Jennifer's place last night, visiting, eating, eating, eating... This is a picture of a practical joke someone played on Jennifer.
